Symphony Showhouse

The room I was assigned to transform for the 2017 Oklahoma City Symphony Show House presented many challenges. This small upstairs bathroom has steep angles where the toilet and vanity are due to the way it sits under the roof. As you can see in the before pictures, the mirror and the light fixture butted up next to the angled ceiling and could not be placed directly over the sink.

I created a custom mirror that could utilize the space over the sink and hung pendant lights from the angled ceiling for lighting. Since there were no walls for art, I utilized the angled ceiling as the place to hang the wall art. A new rich wall color balances out the dark tile of the floor and shower and changing the flat ceiling surface to white adds some visual height in the room. This was a really fun room to design and it was hard to tear it down when the show house was over!
